At Field Day, we are passionate about protecting the environment and ensuring the sustainability of our developments. Our decisions are driven by the desire to make positive environmental, social and economic impacts through the delivery of our projects.
Typically we take on dilapidated, inefficient buildings and convert them into better performing and more sustainable developments. Refurbishing existing buildings is an effective strategy to cut waste, reduce demand on raw materials, curb emissions and keep a building’s embodied carbon down. We also continuously look to integrate even more sustainable practices into our projects and improve our environmental knowledge.
Through our partnership with the Construction Carbon scheme, all carbon produced as part of our construction projects are offset through Gold Standard offsetting programmes such as the reforestation of the Nicaraguan Rain forest.
Corporate Social Responsibility is extremely important to us which is why we commit to making significant annual donations to charitable causes.
We are closely involved with the Indigo Children’s Fund which builds schools and safe accommodation for underprivileged children around the world.
In addition to reducing the environmental impact of our developments, we are also committed to supporting local initiatives that share our vision.
We love Guernsey and are proud to play a small part in protecting and maintaining it through our upcoming partnership with Trees 4 Life, with the aim of planting 500 native trees a year.
